I hope I'm always going to be in the learning mode as far as acting goes. Pretending to be someone that you're not can be fun and is a great way to escape reality fpr a while without destroying brain cells. When I was in 5th grade I auditioned for the part of Oliver in the David Merrick production of "Oliver" on Broadway and actually got the part. After just a short while my father decided that I needed to be playing football instead of acting so he negated the project in it's infancy. Since then I've appeared in several small or no budget independent films, commercials, and a few TV shows including a position of Music Producer and Band Member on an ABC late night show called "Into The Night Starring Rick Dees".etc. Recently I've been privileged to be receiving training from Mr. Burt Reynolds in his Master Acting Class at the "Burt Reynolds and Friends Museum" in Jupiter, Florida. In Early September as part of the class we shot what I call a "long form music video" . This ongoing instruction is totally unique and it has yielded an incredible amount of growth in my acting. Below are some pictures, information and descriptions of the project which is currently being completed by Mr. Reynolds with Aaron Wells as video editor. I will be editing and mixing the audio and music using my protools system which I've moved to the museum to simplify the finalization of the project. |
"Bus Stop"

Pictured are the cast, crew and the director of a short film project called Bus Stop based on the William Inge play "Bus Stop". The project was shot as part of the Burt Reynolds Institute Master Acting Class.
The project is not scheduled for release as it was part of a class project.
The format for the video is a new style combining original music and established theatre properties and was shot on HDMI video on location at "Burt's Place" Bar and Grill in Jupiter, Florida. The cast pictured below from left to right is Michael Vadnal as "Bo", Suzzanne Neidland as "Cherie" and Cooper Getschal as "Virgil" and of course the director ...
The piece is a story about lovers who become more than a one night stand and contains two original Cooper songs "Can't Get Your Lovin Off My Mind" (co-written with Jim Weatherly) and "Once In A Lifetime" (co-written with Kent Blazy) along with a hilarious over-the-top performance of "That Old Black Magic" sung by "Cherie" (Suzzanne Niedland). Michael Vadnal portrays "Bo" an innocent rodeo star who awkwardly falls in deeeply love with "Cherie" his "first" love. The music was performed live to tape.
This new style of video brings music and theater together and allows the audience members who don't get out to the theater a chance to experience some good old playwriting.
